Jessie's Adventures in the Fort

Jessie has been enjoying her Christmas Vacation in Fort Frances! The proof is in the pictures:



Opening Christmas presents with Auntie Megan. Note the
John Deere stocking that Kim made for her! Thanks Kim,
it matches Mommy and Daddy's.

Jessie got a new Jolly Jumper from Santa
(she was a really good girl this year).

At Dairy Queen, Auntie Megan enjoyed a milk shake while
Jessy partook of a packet of ranch dressing.

Jessie is beginning her training in classical piano - I
believe "Mary Had a Little Lamb" was the song

Our little girl was all smiles as she got ready for bed on
Christmas Eve ... she knows that Santa's coming and that
she has to be a good girl tonight!

Jessie Drives to Fort Frances

On one of the days of our big trip, it was kind
of cold in the van to start off with so we left
Jessie all bundled up ... she was just too cute not
to take a picture of (go figure ...)!

Jessie began to fuss a bit and wasn't calming
down to any of the usual songs or toys and in order to
"pacify" her until the next reststop, Mommy ripped a page
out of her magazine for Jessie to play with ...
this worked wonders until Mommy realized Jessie was
getting black ink all over her face ... whoops!
(Don't worry ... it came off very easily!!)

Daddy, Auntie Meg and Mommy were all SO pooped
from all the travel, that they voted and decided that it was
Jessie's turn to drive ... OK, the van was actually parked, but
it was still fun to pretend!

the big drive to Southern Ontario and then to

Fort Frances for Christmas!

Jessie opened a few of her Christmas presents from

Gram and Grampie MacQuarrie the night before we

left for Fort Frances - she was quite enthralled with

the crinkly wrapping paper and quite enjoyed

ripping through it to get to the presents!

Jessie Meets Santa!

Jessie met Santa at the Fairview Mall today ...
Not really sure what she thought - she is actually
watching Mommy intently and kind of looks like
she's just wishing for it to be over ...
(so does Santa for that matter!)
She's still a cutie though - a fun little momento of
her very first Christmas!

Wednesday is Flyer Day!

And so ... the 5th month begins! Jessie was officially 4 months old yesterday! Hard to believe! Where does the time go?!

She had her 4 month shots yesterday and was an absolute trooper! She didn't cry at all and didn't even need to comfort nurse after they were done. We also had her weighed and measured and she's officially 18lbs 8oz and 25.5" long - she's in the 97th percentile for head circumference and length and in the 100th (that's OFF the charts folks!) percentile for her weight. Nothing to worry about when both parents are as tall as we are though (so we're told!)

Anyhoo, she was a bit fussy this morning and it was the weekly flyers that put her into a good mood! Normally I'm not a big fan of commercialism, but today ... I'm thankful for those flyers!

Jessie's Rootin' for her Nanny!

Jessie is sporting the onesie that her Nanny brought
back from her trip to Greece last spring - we figured
that with all the excitement surrounding the big "Awakening"
art exhibit, we should show Nanny that we're rootin' for her -
even if we are so far away! Way to go Nanny!

(Jessie can't wait to see you and her Papa Doogie in
just 9 more sleeps!!)

be bouncing as soon as she figures out that her legs are
