Jessie's First Visit to the Beach!

We decided to have a little picnic over the May
Long Weekend and went to Port Colborne, ON
on Lake Erie for a little change of scenery. We
found this nice beach and had our lunch and let
Jess play in the sand for a bit!

For some strange reason, I don't have a good shot of her
eating the sand ... but rest assured she did get a mouthful
or two and thought herself quite the superstar for doing
so! We had quite the time getting her cleaned off before
we got back into the car! Good fun! It was a great day!

Jessie Plays In The Grass

Well, it's a beautiful day out there (19 degrees and sunny!)
so Jess and I decided to go out back and look at our pretty
flowers. Naturally, I couldn't help snapping a few pics of her
in her brand new $3.50 Gerber Baby Sandals (Thank You
"Once Upon A Child" discount store!) and her cute new
Children's Place summer outfit from Gram and Grampie!

Jessie's mouth, Jess went for a Forget-Me-Not instead ...

Jessie's "Conversational Babble"

So after we returned home from lunch, and
apparently BEFORE Jessie put new pants on,
she decided to show off her newfound
"conversational-like" babble ... she started
doing this a few nights ago and hasn't stopped!
Even though it's just goofy sounds, it DOES
actually sound like what adults do when they're
chatting with each other ... what a goofball!

Jess LOVES watching Wilbur on CBC Kids Morning - when
Wilbur starts to wiggle, she anticipates the song that follows
and starts to "dance" along - sometimes with her head,
sometimes with her feet, sometimes clapping, sometimes
all three ... today it was all of the above with a sock in her hand!

Our little munchkin loves watching herself on video
and seeing herself in pictures! Silly girl! We're
not 100% certain, but we think she's starting to point
and say "Jessie" (or what sounds more like "essie")
when she does see herself in pics, videos or in the mirror!

A Walk in the Park

It was a beautiful day so we decided to go for a little walk
and we ended up in a nearby park on our blanket for a rest.
Naturally, I had the camera with me and, well, these are just
a few of the pics I captured of our growing girl!

Jess was thrilled when we told her we were going to
Niagara Falls for the afternoon. Thrilled. Beyond words.

She woke up though and was quite taken aback
by how loud and huge the Falls were!

A Lunch Date to Remember ...

I know it's been awhile, but trust me, it's worth it ...
The past couple weeks have been busy and fun and I'll
post pics and videos that will make the long time
between posts worth it! Promise!

had to have her lunch too and she put on a show
for the entire restaurant - she was HILARIOUS!
