Jessie's trip to Montreal's Botanical Gardens & Insectarium - a Poem by Daddy

Jessie's first trip to Montreal,
Botanical Gardens with trees so tall!

A desert here with cacti prickly,
Careful mom, those things aren't tickley!

Oh what, oh what is that you see?
Jessie sees a bumble bee!

Daddy, that bee gave me a fright,
I heard their stings have quite a bite!

Nanny, did you know that bees make honey?
I think you need to change my bummy!

Japan has really funny trees,
They are a lot older than me!

And now, oh what is that you see?
Jessie spies a bonsai tree!

A gull here longs for Nanny's food,
He didn't say "please" - that's kind of rude!

The ants go marching one by one,
A steady pace, though they don't run.

How many ants is Jessie worth?
A half a million - measured by girth.

Thank you for coming here with me,
There were so many things for us to see!

And now it's Jessie's time for bed,
'Cause Jessie is a sleepy-head.
